About Us
Welcome to XRaydio, an independent online radio station born out of a deep-seated love for music that refuses to conform. Spanning a vast and eclectic sonic space across its three distinct streams, XRaydio serves as your ultimate destination for everything from raw, high-octane garage rock, psych-indie, synth-wave, and shoegaze to vintage soul, jazz, and early rock & roll. This listener-supported platform operates entirely on a commitment to true independency, curating a kaleidoscope of underground sounds, specialty podcasts, and forgotten gems for dedicated music lovers everywhere.
XRaydio’s concept was born over a boozy daytime hangout with my mate, music promoter Miroslav Simeonov, and it sprang into existence just a few days later, on a sweltering late June afternoon back in 2011. Though Miro entered the Elysian Fields not long after, hopefully XRaydio still carries his rock & roll spirit! ❤️
Since then, the station has gained listeners and support well outside its base in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
So here’s to you Mire and all you fellow losers, winners, absolute beginners, bikers, skaters, nerds, cerebral f*cks, punks, show-offs, bitter ageing dudes, agro yokels, garage rockers, cynics, lunatics, beatniks, hedonists, purists, tourists, cosmopolitans, metal heads, secret agents, indie depressives and post ironic (whatever that means) speculators. XRaydio is both a music radio station and a club, so! Welcome aboard!
And don’t forget that it’s your support that keeps us going!
